Dieting isn't that easy and if you've tried it then you know what i'm talking about. It might feel like torture, but it doesn't have to if you pay attention to the following points:

1. Avoid drinking soda and other sugary juices.

What you may not know is that soda is filled with loads of empty calories which will kill your efforts to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The high sugar levels present in soda will cause you to gain even more fat. Try replacing the soda with water so you have something to sip on each time you think of soda.

2. Don't be too hard on yourself.

The reason why dieting may feel like torture sometimes may be because you are not giving yourself a break. Dieting doesn't have to mean avoiding all your favorite foods. For example, if it's pizza you want, feel free to have a bite, but limit yourself to just one piece.

3. Try sleeping more to reduce your appetite.

Cravings can be as a result of sleep deprivation. Instead of only sleeping for 5-7 hours which will make the dieting even harder, you should sleep for 8-10 hours. Stay active during day by exercising not only your body but your brain as well through reading. Having a productive day will make you feel tired so you won't have trouble falling asleep in the evening.

4. Don't skip breakfast.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it replenishes the body's energy that was lost during the night while your body was fasting. The morning is a great time to kick-start the body's metabolism which is usually very slow by the time we wake up.The morning is therefore a great time for the body to burn fat.

5. Keep an active lifestyle.

Look for way that you can stay active during the day. You should consider getting a gym membership or going for walks so you can burn calories. By exercising and staying active, you will be burning more calories than you are introducing to the body.

These are just a few steps anyone can take to start dieting now, without starving, and enjoy a healthier, happier life!
